01 Good to know
Are you a moving company?
Yes — Smart Choice Movers is a fully licensed and insured Orlando, FL moving company running our own trucks and uniformed crew, with Florida FDACS registration and US DOT and MC authority.
What will a local move cost?
Put two movers and a truck on the job for $139 per hour, or three for $179, each option starting at a two-hour minimum. The written figure reaches you well ahead of your move date.
How does your flat quote work?
We base the single price on the size of your home, the access at each doorway, and a full walk-through inventory, then put it on paper for you. Once our crew clocks in, that agreed price holds across the whole job, with no meter ever ticking upward.
How much do you take to hold a date?
Booking takes a $99 deposit, which we credit back against your final total. The estimate itself is free.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. On top of our interstate US DOT and MC authority, Smart Choice Movers carries a Florida FDACS mover registration — and no one touches your move who isn't on our payroll, truck and mover alike.
Do you move during Central Florida summer storms?
Year-round, yes. We start early, watch the afternoon-storm radar, and shrink-wrap every piece, so a move during hurricane season is no less secure than one in the dry months.
Which areas do you cover?
Orlando, Orange County, and Central Florida — from Winter Park and Maitland to Kissimmee, Lake Nona, Windermere, and Sanford.
Can you handle a downtown Orlando high-rise?
Absolutely. Ahead of move day we issue building management a certificate of insurance built to its requirements and lock in the loading dock and freight-elevator slot.
Do you move pianos and heavy items?
That is routine work. Gun safes, framed art, and both upright and grand pianos get padded, braced, and wheeled out on dollies rated for their weight by our specialty crew.
Are you a broker or lead service?
Not at all. We run a real local moving outfit, our own trucks, our own uniformed movers, and a job that never gets handed to anyone else.
02 Why us

A real moving company — not a broker

Book us and you get our trucks, our crew, and our name on the job. A broker just resells your move to whoever bids lowest, then steps out of the picture.

Smart Choice Movers
  • Our own trucks and full-time, background-checked crew
  • One flat rate in writing — quoted is what you pay
  • The same crew loads your home and unloads it
  • Licensed & insured with USDOT/MC authority
  • One local office, one point of contact, start to finish
A typical broker
  • Resells your job to whatever carrier bids lowest
  • Surprise fees and re-quotes on moving day
  • Strangers you never spoke to show up to load
  • Hard to pin down who is actually liable
  • A call center, not a local crew
